COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 59 01 <br /> RESOLUTION CHANGING THE FUNDING SOURCE OF FIVE POSITIONS UNDER THE <br /> <br /> COMMUNITY POLICING PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, the U S Department of Justice, through a contract with the Hawa~`~ <br /> Counn~ Police Department, provided federal fundtng for five (5) postuons under the <br /> Communttv Pohang Program for three (3) years, whtch postuons were created by Ordinance <br /> 97-83, and <br /> WHEREAS, the funding of these posttton wtl] end of March 15, 2001, and <br /> WHEREAS, Position No 4044 is assigned to the Ka`u District, Posrtton No 404 to <br /> Hamakua, Posttton No 4046 to Puna, Position No 4047 Waimea and Position No 4048 to <br /> Kona, and <br /> WHEREAS, this program has greatly impacted various communrttes throughout the <br /> County and has been deemed to be successful, and <br /> WHEREAS, after federal funds have been expended, the County ~vtll contrnue to <br /> Cunds these postuons, and <br /> WHEREAS, funds are available to the following accounts <br /> Position No 4044 010-201-5213 01-011 Ka`u <br /> Position No 4045 010-201-5209 01-011 Hamakua <br /> Position No 4046 010-201-5214 01-011 Puna <br /> Position No 4047 010-201-5210 01-011 Waimea <br /> Posuion No 4048 010-201-5212 01-011 Kona <br /> <br />
