REQUEST: <br /> Multi-year lease for Kona Office space. <br /> B: BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION: <br /> The five year lease for the Kona office is expiring <br /> 6/30/01. We are nogotiating another five year lease for the <br /> 6,432 square feet of office space we now occupy for the period <br /> 7/01/01 through 6/30/06. We have not sought other space because <br /> the offer we received from the current landlord is competitive <br /> and the cost of moving would be prohibitive. (Please see <br /> attached offer from the managing agent.) <br /> We have recently spent County and Federal funds to <br /> <br /> upgrade the Wang system and install network and video <br /> conferencing capabilities. <br /> The location is well established with the public <br /> The location in proximity to the court cuts down on <br /> travel time and allows the employees to be more productive. <br /> <br />
