PROJECT STRATEGY <br /> (Exhibit A, Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws Strategic Plan) <br /> The project strategy will inchrde the development of two broad based community <br /> <br /> coalitions, representing East a~ West Hawaii, youth coalitions, enforcement activities, <br /> educatioa/p~revention program and public policy/advocacy activities to reduce underage <br /> <br /> access to liquors. <br /> II. GRANT INFORMATION <br /> Funds: ~ 149,000 per annum <br /> Term: 2 years, effective April 1, 2001 to March 30, 2003 <br /> III. HAWAII COUNTY PROJECT PAU ADVISORY COUNCIL <br /> (Exhibit B) <br /> The Advisory Council is responsible for: <br /> 1. The development of activities to be performed <br /> 2. To develop a strategic plan with community coalitions <br /> (Exhibit C; Coalition Members) <br /> 3. Determine awarding of independent contract for the Coordinator position <br /> IV. COORDINATOR <br /> The grant specifies that the Coordinator's primary duties shall be to initiate a~ <br /> coordi~te comnrunity special projects in East and West Hawaii, be responsible for <br /> reporting requirements of the grant and to monitor and record program activities of the <br /> Iaw enforcement agencies. <br /> 'The Advisory Council may elect to enter into a contract for two half time positions or a <br /> full time position. <br /> V. DEPARTMENT OF LIQUOR CONTROL <br /> The department has consented to administer this grant and shall be responsible to provide <br /> oversight, technical assistance, support and monitoring of the grant specifications a~ to <br /> provide office space and supplies for the Coordinator. <br /> <br />
