COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 61 01 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR OR OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR LEASE OF <br /> REAL PROPERTY <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease, or other <br /> obligation regwring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one <br /> <br /> fiscal year be approved by resolution, and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai i desires to extend the lease of the office space located at <br /> 85-951 Haleki'i Street, Kealakekua, Hawai i for the Department of Parks and Recreation, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Volunteers have put in numerous hours improving the office space, and <br /> WHEREAS, the current lease that ends on June 30, 2001, has an option to renew the term of <br /> the lease for an additional four (4) years, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Kona Elderly Activities Office will occupy said space of 4,000 square feet at <br /> the cost of $4,000 00 a month, and <br /> WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into amulti-year lease with Mr David Basque, owner, <br /> for four (4) years starting July 1, 2001, and ending on June 30, 2005 <br /> <br />
