LIQUOR CONTROL <br /> LIQUOR CONTROL <br /> FY 2000-2001 Progress Report Ending February, 2001 <br /> Program Description <br /> 1. To grant, renew and refuse applications or liquor licenses for the manufacture, importation <br /> and sale of liquor. <br /> 2. To amend or adopt rules and regulations having the force and effect of law in the county. <br /> 3. To enforce state and county liquor laws by inspections of licensed premises and <br /> investigations of complaints of violations for referral to the Liquor Control Adjudication <br /> Board. <br /> 4. To provide services to and on behalf of the Liquor Commission and Liquor Control <br /> Adjudication Board, including the view and amendment of procedures and duties. <br /> 5. To provide education to licensees, sta$ Commission and Board. <br /> 6. To review county and state liquor laws toward uniformity. <br /> Program Objectives <br /> 1. To review legislative amendment affecting the liquor Taws of the state or county <br /> and where, applicable, to amend such rules sud procedures. (Goal 1) <br /> Senate Bills• 9, 99, 127, 181,630,645,900 <br /> House Bills 130,131, 441, 818, 423, 954, 955, 986,1065 <br /> 'Legislation to task the liquor department to license and enforce tobacco shed to <br /> Department of Health, establishing a state tobacco commission. <br /> <br /> 2.
