Develop and conduct at least one Cultural/Community event per quarter (Eco- <br /> Tourism) and Cultural Tourism) activity to preserve ethrnc traditions and heritage, <br /> encourage craftsmanship and cottage industry <br /> Developed and conducted the International Barefoot Hula Classic, Hawal'i <br /> 2000 Millennium Celebrations Countywide (8), First Hilo Rain Festival, Hula <br /> Fest 2000 - Ka'u Hula 8 The Arts Cultural Festival, Hula Ho'ike, Queen <br /> Lili'uokalanl Celebration, Waimea Cherry Blossom Heritage Festival, "A Night <br /> In Japan 2001", and Hilo Tahiti Fete 2001. Conducted 11 of 14 major events <br /> completing 79% of the program objective. <br /> <br /> 3. Market programs by securing commurnty involvement and financial support through <br /> partnerships <br /> Continually working with the Waimea Community, Parker Ranch, Japanese <br /> Chamber of Commerce, Japanese Community Association, Quean <br /> Lili'uokalani Children's Trust, Pua Tokumoto of Pua Tahiti, Hawal'I Millennium <br /> Commission, Waimea Outdoor Circle, other private anterpNses and various <br /> community agencies Islandwlde.
