The implications of <br /> these evaluations and decisions must also be considered as they may have as impact on <br /> sunilaz azeas in the County, but uhimately, on the future development of the whole <br /> island <br /> The approval of this request would be in keeping with the following goals, <br /> poLcies and standards of the General Plan. <br /> / wt <br /> 77cn v F/~n~ <br /> • Designate and allocate land uses in appropriate proportions and mix and in <br /> keeping with the social, cultural and physical environments of the County. <br /> • Allocate appropriate requested zoning in accordance with Ute existing or <br /> projected needs of neighborhood, community, region and County <br /> • The County shall encourage the development and maintenance of communities <br /> meeting the needs of its residents m balance with the physical and social <br /> environment <br /> • Zouing requests shall be reviewed with respect to General Plan designation, <br /> district goals, regional plans, State Land Use District, compatibility with <br /> adjacent zoned uses, availability of public services and utilities, access and <br /> public need. <br /> I~~!1 Use - AgncuLraral Cr_b-elo>)yonr <br /> • Rural style residential-agricultural developments, such as new small-scale rural <br /> communities or extensions of existing rural communities, shall be encouraged in <br /> appropriate locanons. <br /> Flood Control <br /> • It is the responsibility of both the government and the private sector to maintain <br /> and improve existing drainage systems and to construct new drainage facilities <br /> • All development generated runoff shall be disposed of in a manner acceptable to <br /> the Deparnnent of Public Works. <br /> <br />
