SHIPMAN, LTD. <br /> REQUEST: A-20a TO MCX-20 <br /> TAX MAP KEY: 1-6-003: PORTION OF 007 <br /> Staff has reviewed the above-referenced application and offers the following comments. <br /> We would be interested in the State Department of Transportation's evaluation of the <br /> proposed intersection of "Road A" and the Volcano Highway/Keaau Bypass. <br /> However, based on our own experience, we cannot concur that the traffic <br /> generated is not expected to affect the overall Level of Service of the planned <br /> intersection " <br /> The developers must anticipate increased traffic generated by their protect. Indeed, <br /> they would encourage it. <br /> Finally, completion of this protect would have a direct impact on allocation of police <br /> services We expect increased traffic and calls for service, which would eventually <br /> require additional personnel and redistribution of our resources. <br /> Please direct any response or further inquiries on this matter to Captain Elroy Osorio, <br /> Jr., Commander of our Puna District. <br /> Thank you for the opportunity to comment. <br /> EO:Ik <br /> t~ <br /> <br />
