Lee <br /> Director of Public Works <br /> FtE: Request to Waive Finance Committee <br /> We are submitting the attached Request for Council Action to increase the <br /> federal portion of the Honomu/Mamalahoa Bridge Replacement project. County <br /> and federal portions were both appropriated previously, but the bid price was <br /> higher than estimated and additional federal funds are required. <br /> The county funds appropriated for this project will lapse on June 30, 2001, so we <br /> <br /> would like to execute the contract prior to that date. In order to have adequate <br /> <br /> federal funds to encumber the contract, the bill must be agendized for first <br /> reading at the June 6, 2001 Council meeting. We request that this appropriation <br /> bill be waived from Finance Committee. <br /> <br />
