O~ <br /> RES®LUTIOIV CREAT'IIVG A CLERK II P®SIT`I®N FOR fiHE CiFFICE ®F SHE <br /> I~ROSECU~IIVP,~ AT~GRIVEY <br /> WHEREAS, the Federal Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant monies have been <br /> awarded to facilitate implementation of the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney's Comprehensive <br /> Strategy program; and <br /> WHEREAS, this program calls for inter-agency and community collaboration in addressing <br /> issues of prevention, intervention, supervision, treatment, and aftercare of juvenile offenders; and <br /> WHEREAS, the federal funds provide for a Clerk II position as the primary clerical support for <br /> the efforts of this program; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawaii County Charter states that the Mayor has <br /> the power to "Create positions...fortyhich appropriations have been made by the council...". <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE Ifi RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> that a Clerk II, SR-8 position be created. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds are available through the Federal Juvenile <br /> <br /> Accountability Incentive Block Grant. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Departments <br /> of Finance and Civil Service and to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney. <br /> <br />
