NO. 234/BILL NO. 69 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 9:10 a.m. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred <br /> Communication No. 234 and attached Bill No. 69, reports as follows: <br /> The purpose of Bill No. 69 is to amend Chapter 24 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 <br /> Edition), relating to Vehicles and Traffic by addang a bus stop along Route 11 by Yano Hall and <br /> the Manago Hotel in Captain Cook, South Kona. <br /> Communication No. 234 is from Deputy Director Galen Kuba, dated May 15, 2001, transmitting <br /> Bill No. 69 for the Council's review and consideration. In his letter, Mr. Kuba states that a bus <br /> stop in this location will provide a safe area for riders to wait and board the county bus. <br /> According to Mr. Kuba, the request to add this bus stop was made by the Mass Transportation <br /> Agency. This request, a letter dated April 5, 2001 from Tom Brown, Director of the Mass <br /> Transportation Agency, is also attached. <br /> In discussion, Councilmember J.
