Takaba, via <br /> Communication No. 242, dated May 29, 2001, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from the <br /> Lions Club of Kona. <br /> The Lions Club of Kona has graciously donated thirty picnic tables to the Department of Parks & <br /> Recreation for various parks in the Kona area. The value of this donation is estimated at <br /> $2,400.00. <br /> <br /> Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the <br /> County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property. <br /> A letter of appreciation will be sent to George Rivera, Lions Civic Improvement Committee <br /> Chairman, Lions Club of Kona, P.O.
