BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The 2001 U.S. OPI~N SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS will be <br /> held at the Kona Community Aquatic Center in Kailua-Kona from <br /> July 15 _ 21, 2001 . <br /> Agate admission fee of $5.00 will be charged by the Aquatics Division for <br /> anyone over 12 years of age for the Junior or Senior Division Final <br /> Competitions. The fee will be $8.00 for both the Junior and Senior Division <br /> Final Competitions if purchased together. In addition, each participant will be <br /> charged a fee of $20.00. We estimate that there will be approximately 500 <br /> spectators and 400 participants. <br /> There are only limited funds available in the Aquatics Division budget to <br /> purchase the materials, supplies, and services needed for this event.
