No. 104-01 <br /> <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 1:41 p.m. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution No. 104-01, transmitted <br /> by Mayor Harry Kim per Communication No. 280, dated July 30, 2001, regarding the <br /> naming of streets in the County of Hawaii, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 104-O1 authorizes the approval of the street name for the roadway within <br /> the new Konawaena Elementary School Subdivision site, Onouli 1st, South Kona, <br /> Hawaii. <br /> The Planning Commission at its July 6, 2001, meeting approved the name for the <br /> roadway in Exhibit "A" as follows: <br /> Onouli Road - after the ahupua`a in which the school is <br /> located <br /> Pursuant to Section 22-35, Article 2, Chapter 22 of the Hawaii County Code, the <br /> Council is authorized to adopt street names for Hawaii County's unnamed roadways. <br /> Your Committee did not entertain any discussion on this measure except for the friendly <br /> amendment by Committee Member Curtis Tyler to include the okina in the word <br /> "ahupua` a". <br /> Your Committee on Planning concurs with the intent and purpose of Resolution No. <br /> 104-01, as amended to Resolution No. 104-01, Draft 2, and recommends its adoption. <br /> AYES NOES A & E EX <br /> LEITHEAD-TODD X Respectfully submitted <br /> TYLER X <br /> ARAKAKI X COMMITTEE~O PLA G~ / ~J <br /> ELARIONOFF X BO BY JEAN LEITHEAD-TODD.
