This unit will implement community oriented prosecution strategies to reduce and prevent crime and to increase community involvement in the criminal justice process. The availability of monies through the U.S. Department of Justice, Edward Syrne Memorial State & Local Law Enforcement Assistance Formula Grant allows for the establishment of these positions to staff the COP unit.
