SP1~It I®1~IS <br /> <br /> Seat 13e1t Use Policies and Programs. <br /> In accordance with Executive ®rder 13043, the recipient of this award is encouraged to adopt <br /> and enforce on-the job seat belt use golicies and programs for its employees when operating <br /> company-ov~aed, rented, or personally-owned vehicles. The National I-Iighevay Tric _ <br /> Safety Admi~aistration (Nl"ITSA) is responsible fir providing leadership and guidance in <br /> support of this Presidential initiative. Information on hove to implement such a grogram, or <br /> statistics on the potential benefits and cost-savings to coanpanies or organisations, can be <br /> found in the buckle Up America section on NI-ITSA's website at www.nhtsa.dot.tiov. <br /> Additional resources are available from Network of Eanployers for Traffic Safety (NETS), a <br /> public-private partnership headquartered in Washington, D.C. dedicated to improving the <br /> traffic safety practices of cmgloyers and employees. NETS is prepared to help with technical <br /> assistance, a simple, user-fiiendly program kit, and an award for achieving the goal of $5 <br /> percent seat belt rase. NETS can be contacted at 1 (1$g8) 221-0045 or its website at <br /> www.trafficsafe .orsz. <br /> This clause should be included in all contracts, subcontracts, and grant agreements entered <br /> into by the recipient tender this award. <br /> VIII.
