No. 145-01 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> <br /> TIME: 10:00 A.M. <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 145-01, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 145-01, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication <br /> <br /> No. 415, dated November 5, 2001, amends Ordinance No. O 1-59, the Salary Ordinance, to <br /> <br /> amend the pay rates for the Student Intern, Student Helper I, and the Senior Community Services <br /> <br /> Aid classes from $5.25 to $5.75 and the hourly pay rate for the Student Helper II from $5.75 to <br /> $6.25. <br /> <br /> The aforementioned amendments to the Salary Ordinance reflects Act 279 of the Session Laws <br /> <br /> of Hawaii 2001, which amended Section 387-2 Minimum Wages of the Hawaii Revised <br /> Statutes by increasing the State of Hawaii minimum hourly wage beginning January 1, 2002. <br /> Pursuant to Article 3, Section 3-13, Hawaii County Charter, interim amendments to the <br /> Ordinance establishing the pay plan for the County may be by resolution of the Council provided <br /> a revised Salary Ordinance is enacted at least once annually. <br /> For informational purposes, Mr. Tyler voted kanalua twice. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purposes and intent of Resolution No. 145-O1 <br /> and recommends its adoption. <br /> smc <br /> APES NOES A&E EX <br /> Respectfully submitted <br /> CHUNC X <br /> PISICCHIO x COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> ARAKAKI X <br /> ELARIONOFF X <br /> JACOBSON X <br /> LEITHEAD-TODD X <br /> SAFARIK X AARON S.Y.
