No. 336-98 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 9:10 a.m. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution No. 336-98, transmitted <br /> by Mayor Steven K. Yamashiro, per Communication No. 1015, dated September 29, <br /> 1998, regarding the naming of streets in the County of Hawaii, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 336-98 authorizes the approval of the street name for the roadway in the <br /> Kaauhuhu-Kahei Homesteads, North Kohala, Hawaii. <br /> The Planning Commission at its September 18, 1998 meeting approved the name for the <br /> roadway in Exhibit "A" as follows: <br /> Beers Road - Locally known and accepted name which <br /> has been used for a long time; name of the <br /> first resident on the road <br /> Pursuant to Section 22-35, Article 2, Chapter 22 of the Hawaii County Code, the <br /> Council is authorized to adopt street names for Hawa`i County's unnamed roadways. <br /> Resolution No. 336-98 was first agendized on October 20, 1998, but was deferred <br /> because the residents were not in total agreement on the name.
