Developers are seeking re-zoning from agriculture-5 <br /> acre to asingle-family residential development to be accessed through three subdivisions: Kailua mew Estates (Nani <br /> Kailua Drive), and Kealoha Subdivision (Kawena Street), Kona Heights Subdivision (Weld St., Aloha Kona & Kini <br /> Loop.) <br /> The potential development on the full parcel owned by the partnership ~rarraaats the dedi~ted iss~r~s seed egress <br /> fe°~rn a d~elaspe~eeeat oe~ a major arteraatl rather than through existing neighborhoods, where the streets are <br /> already overburdened, or at least improvements to the neighborhood roadways to accommodate and calm the <br /> additional traffic. <br /> Kona's expansion history is full of inadences where developer's initially sought permits for only a small segment of <br /> their full plan of development keeping projects ~~der the level where impacts kick-in.
