<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 8. Development Progress of'Existing Kona Vistas Subdivision (RS-15 zoned). See <br /> Exhibit D - Map of Kona Vistas Units 1 and 2: <br /> <br /> • Unit 1 of the Kona Vistas subdivision (RS-15 zoned) has been completed. <br /> <br /> • Final Subdivision Approval has been given by the Planning Department for Kona <br /> Vistas Unit 2A (RS-15 zoned). All roadways in Unit 2 will be built and dedicated to <br /> <br /> the County, inclusive of the Lako Street connection. <br /> • Construction of Kona Vistas Unit 2A, subject to County approval of the plans, is <br /> <br /> expected to begin in 2002 and take one (1) year to complete. <br /> • Important roadway connections at Leilam and Pualam Streets to the Sunset <br /> <br /> subdivision have been completed, thus providing safe access for residents south of <br /> <br /> Kona Vistas to Kuakini Highway via Lako Street. <br /> • When infrastructural improvements in Unit 2 are completed, Kilohana Street within <br /> <br /> the Sunset subdivision will be connected to Lako Street. Lako Street will be <br /> connected to a portion of 'Iolani subdivision, and upon dedication, Lako Street will be <br /> <br /> connected from Hualalai Road to Kuakini Highway. <br /> • Another infrastructural benefit of Unit 2 will be an improvement of water pressure <br /> <br /> and water service to residents in subdivisions adjacent to Kona Vistas as a result of <br /> looping the mauka water system to the system that presently runs along Kuakini <br /> <br /> Highway. <br /> <br /> PREVIOUS TIME EXTENSIONS <br /> 9. Since May 15, 1984, the effective date of Ordinance No. 84-23 which rezoned <br /> <br /> approximately 103 acres of land from Unplanned to RS-15 and 70 acres from Unplanned <br /> to RM-5, five (5) time extensions have been granted in Ordinance Nos. 88-4, 90-62, 91- <br /> <br /> 96, 93-26, and 97-99. Additionally, two administrative time extensions were granted in <br /> 1989 and 1995. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> -4- <br />
