<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> (D) New businesses may display temporary signs or banners for thirty <br /> <br /> dates following the opening of their business on a one-time basis only <br /> <br /> on their premises one. <br /> [(4)]U Any sign of a public, noncommercial nature, which includes any safety <br /> <br /> sign, danger signs, trespassing sign, sign indicating scenic or historical <br /> <br /> points of interest, and any sign erected by a public officer in the <br /> performance of a public duty, including traffic signs or directional signs, <br /> <br /> provided the conform to the sizes dictated by the Manual of Uniform <br /> <br /> Traffic Control Devices as published by the American Association of State <br /> <br /> Highway and Transportation Officials. Note this addition is from Maui sign <br /> code, 16.12.090 and recommendation of Building Division Chief. <br /> <br /> [(5) Subdivision identification sign. <br /> <br /> One sign relating to the identification of a subdivision within a district, of either a <br /> ground or wall type, per entranceway. Each sign shall not exceed eight <br /> <br /> square feet in area.] See "Signs allozc?ed with permits." <br /> <br /> <br /> Section 3-10.
