Building permits. <br /> Persons applying for a building permit shall include sign applications for any signs <br /> <br /> that will be erected in conjunction with the new construction or improvements for <br /> <br /> which the building permit is requested. <br /> Section [3-1511-16. Illuminated signs. <br /> <br /> A permit application for a sign which uses electrical wiring and connections or <br /> <br /> which is illuminated by an external source, shall be submitted to the electrical <br /> <br /> inspector. The electrical inspector shall examine the plans and specifications of all <br /> wiring and connections to determine if the plans and specifications comply with <br /> <br /> chapter 9, relating to electricity and chapter 14, article 9, relating to outdoor lighting. <br /> <br /> The electrical inspector shall [approve] recommend (1) approval of the application if the <br /> plans and specifications comply with chapter 9 and chapter 14, article 9, or <br /> <br /> [disapprove] (2) disapproval of the application if noncompliance with these chapters is <br /> <br /> found. The plans and specifications shall then be returned to the director of public <br /> works for final action in compliance with Section 3-19. This is to clarifij that the electrical <br /> <br /> inspector's action is advisory and not final. <br /> <br /> Section [3-1613-17. Permit application. <br /> <br /> (a) Applications for sign permits, pursuant to article 1 of this chapter, shall be filed <br /> with the director of public works. Applications shall contain at a minimum, the <br /> <br /> following: <br /> <br /> (1) The name and address of the owner of the property upon which the sign <br /> will be located, the owner of the sign, and the applicant, if different. <br /> <br /> (2) The tax map key number of the location and proposed location of the sign <br /> <br /> and an accurate description of the sign, including its contents; <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 21 <br />
