Deitz: <br /> The Village of Gnwepart is located in the south eastern comer of Franklin Counryjust minutas <br /> from downtown Columbus. T'he Village is a growing community with many com.^terciai anti <br /> industrial cnnorate citizens making up our community. Isomedix has been a goad co~orate <br /> citizen in our cormnuniry since 1984. During that time Isomedix has developed a facility which <br /> includes a network of eleven large scale Cobalt-60 industrial irradiators which are used to sterlize <br /> a large range of consumer produ~ s and disposable medical devices. The facility is well <br /> maintained. kept free of outside debris, and is kept in compliance with local zoning and property <br /> maintenance standards. <br /> In 1954, when this facility was piaruled, many of the residential neighbors and corporate <br /> :leighbors near tins facility were concerned about having an irradiator in their neighborhood but <br /> those concerns have proved to be with out merit. The Village of Gtoveport Police Department <br /> and the Groveport vladison Fire Department have not had to respond to this facility for other <br /> than routine. insaections daring its entire operation.
