The establishment of a new section <br /> for Scenic Corridor Overlay Zones within Chapter 25 provides the <br /> Planning Department with a useful to more effectively respond to <br /> regional planning needs of the County of Hawaii. The adoption of this <br /> new section will provide a mechanism to full a variety of priorities, <br /> ranging from enhancing and protecting areas of unique natural beauty, <br /> the identification and preservation sites of historical and cultural <br /> importance as well as to incxease recreational opportunities for the <br /> residents and visitors within the County of Hawaii.
