Inc.l <br /> Dear Chairman Arakaki and Members of the County Council: <br /> On behalf of the Applicant, Hokukano Ranch, Inc., this is to provide information that was <br /> requesting upon first reading of the subject bill in regard to the hours of operation for the <br /> proposed visitor center on the subject property. <br /> If the County Council is inclined to impose a condition in this regard, the Applicant is <br /> agreeable to a condition that reads: "Normal operating hours for the proposed visitor center <br /> will commence no earlier than 8:30 a.m. on school days." <br /> In addition, the Applicant opposes the renewed requesC by the Planning Director to re- <br /> insert the former Condition G in modified form. This would prohibit all unspecified <br /> improvements within the "A" and "AE" zones within the flood plain that is identified on the <br /> property. As previously discussed by the County Council on this issue, the County has an <br /> existing chapter of the County Code(Chapter 27 -Flood Control) that regulates all structural and <br /> land improvements within a flood plain.
