Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the additional funds into the Glass Recycling Program account and bringing the total grant appropriation to $298,000. REQUEST: Amend the operating budget for the County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2004 by increasing revenues by $15,000 in the Solid Waste Fund account #3305.06 for glass recycling/disposal. Grant amount from state has increased from $283,000 to $298,000. B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): Advanced disposal fees are collected by the state and granted for the purpose of diverting glass from landfills.
