If we do have a spill and I am sure that it <br /> <br /> will happen, with all of this mega development ,what <br /> <br /> plans are in place to keep this potential accident from <br /> destroying the pristine waters off our coastline? <br /> There have been some forced blackouts lately here <br /> in West Hawaii. How are we supposed to power up <br /> <br /> the new developments or do they get power priority <br /> over the residents of Kona? <br /> Will all of the fuel needed to create enough power <br /> be transported to the Keahole generation plant on the <br /> same roads that we are using? How many fuel trucks <br /> will it take to supply enough fuel for what we already <br /> have? <br /> In closing I would like to say a few words about <br /> noise and the building of luxury homes in the flight <br /> landing path of our airport. Just the dirt that falls <br /> from those jets will be enough to spoil the day on the <br /> links. The noise alone will be enough to drive anyone <br /> away. Are the owners of these new homes going to <br /> build sound proof houses with no windows to keep <br /> out the incredible noise that these jets will generate? I <br /> <br /> think not. What kind of infrastructure are they being <br /> required to provide? <br /> I hope that at least some of the planning folks will <br /> <br /> take heed and just say NO until we work out the <br /> <br />
