I am instead providntg this written
testimony.
As a citizen of this County, I have yet to see any benefits coming from the proliferation of
marijuana. Instead, it only adds negative elements to our society and to our young citizens. Tt is
unnecessary for me to list the rmdes¢able outcomes of marijuana use.
T am pleased to know that the police department is working beyond the call of duty in
trying to control marijuana in ways possible with limited resources. I fully support the County of
Hawaii seeking funding to enforce the marijuana laws of the County.
Sincerely, ~ ~ ~
Walter Kunitake
Ph.D. Professor of Accounting
University of Hawaii at Hilo
pomp.
