<br /> _ ~ ~I ~e-w?~,P-o~~~a~ <br /> ~ am ~ <br /> To address concerr s relating to a program review, Your Committee, upon moti ~n by <br /> Ms. Leithead-To.:d, amended Resolution No. 94 to include the following laz.~kage: <br /> "WHEREAS, public concerns on the effectiveness of .:.e marijuana eradication <br /> program warrants a more comprehensive program review of the funding in operations <br /> of the program. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br /> HAWAII that it requires as a condition of County Project Number 96-DB-13 and its <br /> accompanying grant agreement that some of the funds be expended on a program <br /> review of the marijuana eradication program. The program review shall be submitted <br /> to the Council within 90 days of the grant's termination or sooner." <br /> Mr. Tyler moved to defer the measure pending the completion of a mandatory program review <br /> and receipt of additional information requested from the Police Department in regard to public <br /> concerns and allegations, however, his motion was defeated. <br /> A majority of Your Committee members voted to pass Resolution No. 94, as amended, with <br /> two opposing votes from Committee members Al Smith and J.
