They only joined when threatened with legal action <br /> Cliftds does not plan to keep the land, but to sell it Kona residents will pay for Clifto's <br /> profit with their time--spent sitting in more traffic <br /> In addition, Clifto's has apparently withdrawn plans to contribute public park space. <br /> In theory, development like this brings in tax money to pay for adequate infrastructure. But ask <br /> the people sitting in 20 miles of bumper to bumper traffic from Keahole Airport to Kealakekua if <br /> this theory works. <br /> ,4nd ask people why they visit Hawaii. or live here. They will tell you about the beautiful and <br /> unspoiled places--not about the traffic. <br /> Kona does not need more sprawl, traffic, and environmental damage.
