But in <br /> the past few years, your development decisions along Alii Drive, between <br /> Lunapule Road and Royal Poinciana Drive have brought increasing harm to those <br /> of us who live along these roadways. More mlti-family development projects <br /> have dumped more and more cars onto Lunapule, Royal Poinciana and along <br /> that 1.5 mile stretch of Alii Drive that lies between both roads. Our quality of Iffe is <br /> rapidly deteriorating because of your inconsiderate decisions. <br /> Although Mr. Fuke says that his project will have only 58 homes instead of 350 <br /> condos. it is the cumulative effect of his project along with the unfinished Alii Park <br /> Place and any other uncompleted condo projects in this area that you should be <br /> paying aftention to. Future traffic generated from these projects in addition to the <br /> existing traffic will be dumped onto our already over-stressed roadways. That's <br /> abuse and we are sick of It and we are asking you to do what is right and <br /> responsible - PIEASE DENY THIS CHANGE OF DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION FOR LEHUA <br /> LANI LLC. <br /> This Change of Dishict Classification should not be considered until after the <br /> <br /> following are done: <br /> 1) The second phase of Alii Parkway is completed. <br /> 2) The sewer line road at the north of Alti Lani is completed <br /> 3) Chapter 11 of the Hawaii County Code regarding affordable housing is <br /> revised and strengthened <br /> 4) The Lehua Lani project is further down-sized so that there is less run-off, less <br /> cars, and more open space. <br /> Once again, you are supposed to be making decisions that protect us.
