Chung, Chair <br />Committee on Finance <br />RE: Bill 237, Draft 3 <br />Operating Budget <br />Phone: (808)961-8396 <br />Fax: (808)961-8912 <br />This is to transmit Bill 237, Draft 3, which was the result of amendments shown on the <br />attachment made at the May 19, 2004, Council meeting: <br />To summarize, the amendments (1) changed fuel tax revenues and expenditures in the Highway <br />Fund: (2) increased grant revenues and expenditures in the Fire Department and Solid Waste <br />accounts; (3) decreased expenditures proposed for the Sort Station and placed the same in the <br />Council's contingency relief account; (4) increased revenues anticipated from fund balance and <br />increased Police expenditures by adding 15 positions; and (5) decreased expenditures in various <br />General Fund accounts and increased the same in Fire Protection expenditures by adding 12 fire <br />fighter positions and corresponding personnel expenses. <br />Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. <br />Att. <br />' 1lI 0 37 .p. 3 <br />Hawai'i C'oumv is an Equal Opportunirn Provider and Employer <br />Comm.
