To coatiaue to operate in this
fashion is to compoand the errors of the past, and is not in the best interest of the
County of Hawaii or its citizens.
I am especially displeased at the proposal to connect with Hualalai Road to the
south. This is only an invitation to all traffic traveling makai to utilise Nani Kailas
Drive, with iNs stop light, Yor egress onto Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway. This will
increase traffic far more than the proposed subdivisions. Further development will
open access to as yet undeveloped parcels, which, in the absence of a master plan,
will follow the path of least resistance, and include cheap coanectors throagh to Nani
Fz^_ilus drive for access.
R'hat jg needed is access to the north - to Henry Street, or Palxni Road. Snch a
connector must be a eoadition of any development in this area.
Resident of Kailas View Estates & registered voter:
James H.
