The United Public Workers <br /> would like to submit this testimony in favor of approving the budget for the Sort Station and <br /> Welders, including the funding of the positions identified in the budget request. The positions <br /> are necessary to provide for the management of solid waste, as well as for the repair and <br /> maintenance of transfer stations and equipment. <br /> The United Public Workers urges the Chairman and Council members to approve the <br /> Environmental Management budget request.
