We need to pass Bill 280 to set up the legal process so communities in Hawaii <br /> County can use this financing method for supplemental services and improvements when <br /> public funds aze not available. Business improvement districts have already been used with <br /> success in Honolulu, and I look forward to making this tool available in our County. <br /> I would also like to recognize the work that the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce has <br /> done to make this possible, and congratulate Councilmember Curtis Tyler for taking the <br /> initiative to draft this measure. <br /> Al <br /> e <br /> Harry Ki <br /> MAYOR <br /> Comm.
