BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDEDI <br /> The P&R Recreation Division submitted an application and was awarded a grant of $1,000 from the Bay <br /> Clinic's Hawaii County Youth Anti-Drug Fund Community Grants Program. The funds are derived from the <br /> federal government and will be used to defray costs incurred by the Summer Fun Youth Camp held in <br /> Honokaa on July 22, 2004. The camp was a healthy, anti-drug overnighter for the community's summer fun <br /> children in grades K through 6. Grant funds will be used to cover the cost of meals (dinner, breakfast & <br /> lunch), t-shirts and sleeping bags. The grant did not require a written agreement.
