The proposed amendments in Bill 311, Draft 2, are <br /> significantly related to some of the language in this ordinance. A copy of Ordinance 96- <br /> 51 is attached for your information. The purpose of this ordinance was: "The Council of <br /> the County of Hawaii Ends that extensions of the public sewer system have a significant <br /> impact on the public, especially on those individuals who would be required to connect to <br /> the extended system. Therefore, in order to provide for public input on decisions to <br /> extend the public sewer system, the Council finds that all extensions of the public sewer <br /> system shall be approved by resolution of the Council." , <br /> Ordinance 01-108 (November 1C, 2001) replaced references to "chief engineer" with the <br /> "director of public works." <br /> Ordinance 02-66 (May 10, 2002) amended the code by replacing references to the <br /> Department of Public Works with the Department of Environmental Management and <br /> added the definitions for the Environmental Management Commission. <br /> <br /> Attachment <br /> Comm.
