Arakaki, Chair ~d / <br /> RE: Bi1178, Draft 5 <br /> This is to propose an amendment to Bi1178, Draft 5, which would allow the mayor, the <br /> council chair and the prosecuting attorney to adjust an employee covered by the Salazy <br /> Ordinance no more than two steps (a total rate adjustment of 5%) for fiscal yeaz 1997-98. <br /> All other references to step movements for future fiscal years would remain. You will <br /> find the changes on page 3 of the attached Bill 78, Draft 6. <br /> Additionally, since Bill 83 was adopted by the Council providing more flexibility in the <br /> establishment of salaries for deputies in the Offices of the Corporation Counsel and the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney, references to LG-1 and LG-2 are eliminated in Sections 8.03 <br /> and 8.14. <br /> Finally, Section 13 adds the words "the salaries herein" to clarify that the salaries are <br /> efective on July 1, 1997, in the event the council adopts the bill after that date. <br /> Att.
