We have been surprised wit a few bills from the <br /> State after a project has been closed. <br /> Mohouli Extension - The original consultant contract for this project did not include the cost of necessary FEMA LOMAR <br /> work for flood zones affected by the project. The estimated cost for this is $50,000. Because of the a ecialized nature of <br /> the work, we will probably hire a new consultant, <br /> Puainako Cxtenaion - The State DOT wants all easements to be converted to fee simple percels bef re we can turn over <br /> the road to them. We are uncertain whether the State will pay for all additional land acquisition costs s ch as fees <br /> incurred by our land agent or State DOT administrative services charges. Also, now that the extension is open, <br /> operational Issues may arise that we may need address while the road is under County jurisdiction. <br /> Kawail~ani Bridge - We are negotiating with a property owner who is requesting additional drainage improvements <br /> because of flow changes caused by the new bridge. <br /> Aill Highway - No specific concerns.
