Add a purpose statement to the promotional fares subsection; <br /> <br /> 2. Expand the purpose of the transportation kokua zones to include economically <br /> depressed areas and add the Puna district to the established transportation kokua <br /> zones. <br /> <br /> 3. Requires the transit administrator to provide a report to the Council within one <br /> year of implementation of the zones and again prior to termination of the zone. <br /> The changes between Draft 1 and Draft 2 are as follows: <br /> <br /> (g) Promotional fares. <br /> <br /> (1) The purpose of this subsection is to provide lower bus fares when a new <br /> route or service is provided or to boost ridership on established routes. <br /> <br /> (2) The Transit Administrator may establish fares on a temporary basis for a <br /> period not to exceed 90 (ninety) calendar days for bus routes and services. <br /> <br /> <br /> (h) [r ono distriet transportation Guo z e 4 Transportation kokua zone. <br /> (1) The purpose of this subsection is to boost ridership in economically <br /> depressed districts and to assist in alleviating traffic congestion in [*'ea <br /> disttiet} various districts.
