County Council members, Fellow Citizens of Hawaii County
I am here today, missing work, loosing income like the rest of

these concerned people. Today, I will not make a lengthy thought
felt speech. Today I will ask some pointed questions of our
council members.
We appreciate the hearing on this side today, but still wonder why
it is at a time when it limits attendance and aids those council
members in saying we don't care enough to be here. Some just
cannot take off work. Some cannot go without pay.
Members. This meeting is referred to as a hearing, which would
indicate a fair and equitable proceeding. A time for us to speak out
and for you to listen and put into action what we want.
If is the case that you are here to represent us, the people of the
district of Kona as well as the rest of the island, why do you ignore
our pleas over and over again to disapprove the Cliftos
development?
Why do we speak to you over and over again and what we say falls
on deaf ears?
What would it take for you to understand that the people DO NOT
WANT THIS PROJECT?
IS it yet clear to you that we OPPOSE THIS PROJECT? The
mayor hears us as well as some of your council members.
Does the developer speak louder to those of you that continue to
push this down our throats, or is it his checkbook that speaks to
you.
CAN YOU HEAR US WHEN WE SAY: SAVE OUR SIDE . I
Comm. No.
Ref. To:Pr
Ref. Uate CF
t_.
L.LWL=
