COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO 255 f)4 <br /> Draft 2 <br /> A RESOLUTION AMENDING SALARY ORDINANCE NO. 04-60 TO ADD EXEMPT <br /> CLASSES OF WORK FOR PERSONS EMPLOYED BY THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY <br /> COUNCIL AND OFFICE OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WHOSE PAY <br /> IS NOT OTHERWISE PROVIDED FOR <br /> WHEREAS, Section 3-13, Hawaii County Charter, provides for interim amendments to the <br /> Salary Ordinance to be made by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Corporation Counsel has opined that positions in the Legislative <br /> Branch that perform duties directly related to the legislative function of the County Council are exempt; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 76-77 (9) of the Hawaii Revised Statutes provides for the exemption of <br /> temporary election clerks in the office of the county clerk employed during election periods, and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 76-77 (14) of the Hawaii Revised Statutes provides for the exemption of <br /> <br /> positions in the Office of Housing and Community Development; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 7 of Salary Ordinance No. 04-60 lists the classes of work and <br /> compensation for persons employed by the County other than those whose pay is otherwise provided <br /> for; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br /> HAWAII that Section 7.01 and Section 7.02(b) of Salary Ordinance No. 04-60 be amended by adding <br /> the following classes of work: <br /> <br />
