RECYCLING SERVICE: There is a clear consensus on <br />the need for more recycling services (86 percent). <br />Ideas to improve the service include providing a <br />centralized area for disposal of all waste and <br />providing curbside recycling programs. Making it <br />convenient to recycle was a common theme to <br />insure the service would be successful. <br />J. CIVIL DEFENSE SERVICE: There is an overwhelming <br />show of support 73 percent) for the work of the Civil <br />Defense team. The majority of comments <br />applauded the work of Harry Kim. <br />K. HIGHER EDUCATION: Eighty percent of the <br />respondents called for access to State-run higher <br />education. Comments pointed to the need for a <br />better employment pool, and providing this <br />opportunity to our youth. Note: the County's <br />responsibility as it pertains to education is limited to <br />the provision of facilities rather than programs. <br />L. YOUTH SERVICES: Almost 70 percent thought that <br />there is a need for more things for kids to do. The <br />majority of comments asked for more recreational <br />opportunities and public transportation.
