Higa, Chairman and Councilm tubers <br /> FROM: Pete Hoffmann, Councilmember -7 <br /> - <br /> RE: Bi1178 <br /> Please review the attached bill, which includes amendments for consideration. <br /> The proposed amendments are designed to insure that the Preservation Fund has a <br /> specified amount appropriated each year for five yeazs, that a cap is placed on the <br /> fund and that "leveraging" is highlighted as a preferred method for expenditures. <br /> The specific amendments in Ramseyer format are as follows: <br /> (c) In adopting each fiscal yeaz's budget and capital budget, the <br /> (1) The Council shall avprovriate $2,000,000 from the <br /> County General Fund to the Public Access. Oven Space, <br /> and Natural Preservation Fund for a ceriod of not more <br /> than five years. <br /> (2) The Public Access, Oven Space, and Natural <br /> Resources Preservation Fund shall not exceed $6,000,000 <br /> at anytime. <br /> (3) Expenditures from the Fund shall consider <br /> "leveragine" as the primary method of maximizing the <br /> County investment in all transactions. <br /> Please let me know if you have any questions/clarifications. <br /> Comm.
