We, residents of Hawaii, need to take all <br /> necessary steps to preserve open spaces for all Hawaiians both of today and tomorrow, and we also <br /> need to preserve our precious natural habitats to ensure that our few surviving endangered species can <br /> have a decent chance of staying off the list of extinct species.
