The Department of Public Works and the Hawaii Police Department supports the <br /> association's proposal, as it will improve overall traffic and pedestrian safety. <br /> We request the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Article lQ, Section 24-280, Schedule 28 (no parking at <br /> anytime) under Hilo be amended as described in the attached draft for an ordinance. <br /> Under separate cover, we are transmitting the proposed ordinance to the Public Works Committee Chair <br /> for introduction. <br /> We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment.
