T. Are the sewage treatment facilities capable of dealing with this increase of 160 units, plus all the retail space
proposed? Is there a negative impact on waste management (both solid waste and liquid waste)? Ilow does
this confirm to the Environmental Waste Management plans?
Doesn't this increased density impact negatively on the counties multi-hazard mitigation plans?
9. Where is the dedicated road reserve? Through the middle of their property? That would certainly give their
retail more exposure! Ur do they propose putting the road next to an existing quiet, peaceful, residcmial
complex's
10. We have the satuc quesuotts (;F1-#9 regarding another building permit submitted by Oasis Inc. with 93 units
which will only be 400 feet away from K.P.C. Village's 67 units and The Kona Billfisher will be squashed
between the two high density, high rise, huildings!
11. It would seem that K.P C. Villages 13,000 square feet of retail combined with Kona Oasis Tnc.'s 10,000
square reef of retail is over-kill! Lt would huff the retail businesses that are prescruly iu Kara. Whe,~ the
huge retail azea being developed across from the high school is added into this mix, what will become of the
uniuueness that is Kona Village?
As we toured Kona from August 15- Sept., 13, 2004, we noticed a 15% vacancy rate in retail units in the ,

Kona Village, This does not take into account the many vacant retail units firtther south on Alii Drive.
Do we want Kona to become another sprawling Miami Beach?
Your concern and research upon these fore mentioned matters would be greatly appreciated A partnership
amatg govermncnt and the community, were atl parties responsible for implementation are held accountable
vis-a-vis -the history, uniqueness and quality of life of the community. Thank you for your time and attention to
such an important decisions
Sincerely,
z
E9 39dd L6999LE 9E~9I S00d/99/60
