CITY COUNCIL <br /> s CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU <br /> <br /> ~ HONOLULU, HAWAII No. '9'7 -255 <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> delivery of public services and reduce government exposure to <br /> liability suits; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council believes that public safety should be <br /> recognized as a top priority in collective bargaining <br /> negotiations on matters relating to alcohol and drug testing of <br /> applicable safety-sensitive employees; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City and County of <br /> Honolulu that the Governor and the mayors of the counties in the <br /> State are urged to collectively establish a statewide, uniform <br /> alcohol and substance abuse testing policy in applicable labor <br /> Agreements for public employees in safety-sensitive positions; <br /> and <br /> -2- <br /> <br />
