Program Objectives: <br /> Overall Goal: To provide 24/7 emergency disaster response and relief to <br /> those in need on the Big Island after a disaster (man-made or natural). <br /> Objectives: <br /> 1. Provide for the immediate emergency needs of Big Island disaster <br /> victims (food, clothing, shelter, crisis counseling) <br /> 2. Support first responders like firefighters, police, civil defense, and others <br /> with food, water, and counseling during brush fires and other challenging <br /> incidents that threaten lives and property <br /> 3. Increase awareness of disaster preparedness to Big Island residents <br /> 4.
