Angel; Higa, Stacy; Harry Kim
Subject: Re KPC Villages revised proposal
Dear County Council:
I would like to state that driving in the village of Kailua-Kona on Ali'i Drive is more like sitting in gridlock. It has

taken as long as 45 minutes to get from the Royal Kona Hotel to the King Kam Hotel. It is a route I will never
again take. That is not to say that driving down Kuakini Highway or Queen K is any better. It is not.
To allow any further development in Kona will exacerbate an already over burdoned problem. It is called
Gridlock. The entire region is experiencing it from Kainalau to the airport. To allow ANY further development
without concurrent roads/infrastructure being in place is not in the best interest of this town and it's people. I
work in a retail store that caters to vacationers. Not one person I spoke with had anything nice to say about the
traffic situation and also indicated that they would NOT BE BACK...
No No NO NO N~ MOfZE....What part of NO do you council people not understand?
KPC Villages: If you would widen Ali'i Drive through town and add more parking than you have planned....perhaps
we could DISCUSS your project. This is the wrong project at the wrong time.
(Putting another stop light on Queen K. at Malulani is also unfeasable. Unless, of course, the streetlights all run
concurrently green so traffic can actually move.)
Lillian Fox
Comm, No.. (oZ•„(~,
Ref.
